Hypothermic Devicap

The HYPOTHERMIC DEVICAP is made of a core in AKR-o-GEL, a high viscosity hydrogel, protected by a knitted fabric. The gel is enclosed in an external polyurethane coated coating, highly waterproof and breathable, with a Velcro fastening and adjustment system. The device uses a thermoregulating gel that cools and is applied to the patient’s head during chemotherapy administration. The cold reduces blood flow to the hair follicles, preventing the chemotherapy drugs from reaching concentrations high enough to cause damage to the hair. The materials used are safe for skin contact, the only precaution to take is not to wet the product as the gel absorbs moisture. It is not a disposable product, it can be used multiple times.
